Lead Engineer

Onward and Upward

Our team thought very hard about the type of person we're looking for in a Lead Engineer and how success in this relationship will manifest. In the end, we narrowed it down to three major statements about our ideal candidate.

A creative collaborator who is inspired by the process of designing digital products with a close team of people

An empowering force whose capabilities convince us we can build anything we can conceive

A mind that continually evolves the way we think about the problems we solve and the solutions we envision for them

Servable’s Lead Engineer will be the primary, full-stack contributor to our codebase as well as the manager of our small team of independent contractor engineers. The LE will own all decisions related to our software’s architecture and technology stack to ensure Servable is built in a sustainable, elegant way.

Product design and development are inseparable at Servable. The Lead Engineer’s most important job will be to constantly contribute to the product’s strategic direction and the customer problems we solve.

Create and groom roadmap with Product. Execute on it.

Salary plus equity depending on experience and fit.

Servable is a payment system first: it's the best way to pay independent contractors. But it's much, much more. Servable is a single place to organize and grow a pool of freelance workers, along with flexible tools for scheduling, coordinating and communicating with them. Our company is focused on maximizing human potential by enabling people to serve each other more easily, and in ways that add purpose and meaning to their lives. We’re a seed stage startup headquartered in Austin, TX, with remote team members around the world. We are active participants in the Time Well Spent movement; we value diversity and inclusivity; and we strive to reflect in our own product the beauty of the world around us.
